Privacy policy

CasinoTips.io is an independent casino review and comparison site. For UK GDPR and EU GDPR purposes the data controller is the operator of CasinoTips.io. Reach us about anything on this page at privacy@casinotips.io.

We do not operate gambling services and never hold your gambling account or funds. When you follow a link to an operator you leave this site and their privacy policy takes over.

• Server logs (IP address, browser, page requested, time). Collected by our host on every request, to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Kept up to 30 days.
• Your email address, if you sign up for bonus alerts. Used only to send those emails. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); withdraw it with the unsubscribe link in any email. Kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again.
• What you write to us, if you email us. Used to reply and to fix corrections. Legal basis: legitimate interests. Kept 24 months after the matter is closed.
• Analytics data (pages viewed, device, approximate location, cookie IDs), only if you accept analytics cookies. Used to see which pages are read. Legal basis: consent. Kept up to 14 months. Not in use yet.
• Advertising and affiliate measurement (cookie IDs, ad clicks, whether you followed a paid link), only if you accept marketing cookies. Used to measure ads and to be paid for referrals. Legal basis: consent. Kept up to 13 months, or as the provider states. Ad tags are not in use yet.

We do not ask for, and do not want, your gambling account details, card numbers or identity documents. Nobody legitimate from this site will ever request them. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.

We do not sell personal data for money. We share limited data with providers who run the site for us and act on our instructions: our hosting provider (hosting), our email service provider (bonus-alert emails) and, once they are switched on and only with your consent, Google (analytics and ads) and Meta (ads). If you follow a paid link, the operator's affiliate network receives a click identifier so a sign-up can be credited to us. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement. We also disclose data to authorities when the law requires it.

Some providers process data outside the UK or EEA, for example in the USA. Transfers rely on an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the UK extension to it) or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: Cookie settings. Withdrawing deletes the analytics and marketing cookies we set and reloads the page. Your choice is stored for 12 months, and we ask again sooner if this policy changes in a way that matters.

Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Delete it, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
• Restrict or object to how we use it, including profiling.
• Send it to you or another provider in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

Write to privacy@casinotips.io and we will respond within one month. EU residents can complain to the data protection authority in their country.

We process UK personal data under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which govern cookies and marketing email. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Notice at collection. In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, IP address, cookie IDs), internet activity (pages viewed, links followed) and approximate location from your IP address. We use them for the purposes, and keep them for the periods, set out above. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell personal information for money. If you allow marketing cookies, ad and affiliate tags may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out at any time with Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (switch off Marketing). We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically: if your browser sends it, marketing stays off.

You have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, and to ask us to delete or correct it. Write to privacy@casinotips.io. We will verify your request by email before acting on it. An authorised agent can make a request for you with your signed permission. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

This site is strictly for adults aged 18 or over, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

The site is served only over HTTPS, access to data is restricted to the people who need it, and we use established providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the regulator where the law requires it.

If we change this policy we will update the review date above. For material changes we will say so on the site and ask for your cookie choice again.
