    Bonus value calculator

Every pound you stake loses a little on average: the house edge, which is 100% minus the RTP. This tool adds that up across the wagering so you can compare it with the bonus.

Positive on average, before max-bet and cap rules.

Staking £500 at 96% RTP costs £20 on average, against a £50 bonus.

These are averages over many players. One session can end well above or below them, and most players who take a bonus still lose money.

    How it works

First the turnover is worked out, the same way as in the wagering calculator, including game contribution.

The average cost of clearing is turnover multiplied by the house edge. £7,000 staked on a 96% RTP slot costs £280 on average.

Expected value is the bonus minus that cost. If a maximum cashout applies, the value cannot be more than the cap. These are long-run averages over many players. Any one session can end far above or below them.

    Questions

    What is expected value?
The average result per player if very many people took the same offer and played it the same way. It is not what you will get in one session.
    Why is my result negative?
The turnover is large enough that the average house edge paid on it is more than the bonus. That is common with high wagering, deposit plus bonus terms, or low-contribution games.
    Which RTP should I use?
The RTP of the game you would actually play, from the game's info screen. RTPs can differ between casinos for the same slot, so check the version you play.
    What is a maximum cashout?
A cap on what you can withdraw from bonus play. If it applies, anything above it is removed when you withdraw, so the value of the bonus can never be more than the cap.
Does a positive result mean I will win?
No. It means the average over many players is positive before other rules, such as maximum bet limits, excluded games and time limits. Most individual players still lose money.
