The basics of craps
The shooter rolls two dice. On the come-out roll, 7 or 11 wins for Pass Line bets, while 2, 3, or 12 loses. Any other number becomes the 'point.' The shooter must roll the point again before rolling a 7 to win.

Best bets in craps
The Pass Line bet has a 1.41% house edge. The Don't Pass bet is slightly better at 1.36%. Odds bets behind the Pass Line have ZERO house edge: the best bet in any casino.
- 03
Odds bets explained
After a point is established, you can place an Odds bet behind your Pass Line bet. This bet pays true odds with no house edge. Most casinos allow 3-4-5x odds. Always take maximum odds.

Bets to avoid
Proposition bets in the center of the table have house edges of 10-16%. Hardway bets are 9-11%. Big 6/Big 8 pay even money when the place bet pays 7:6. Stick to Pass/Don't Pass + Odds.
