European vs American roulette
European roulette has 37 pockets (0-36) with a house edge of 2.7%. American roulette adds a 00 pocket, nearly doubling the house edge to 5.26%. Always choose European roulette when available.
- 02
Inside vs outside bets
Inside bets (straight, split, street) offer higher payouts but lower odds. Outside bets (red/black, odd/even, columns) pay less but win more often. For beginners, outside bets provide better bankroll management.
- 03
Betting systems
The Martingale system doubles bets after losses. The D'Alembert increases by one unit. The Fibonacci follows the sequence. No system changes the house edge, but they can structure your play and manage risk.

Bankroll management
Set a session budget and stick to it. A good rule is to bring 50x your minimum bet. If you're betting $5 per spin, bring $250. Leave when you've doubled your money or lost your budget.
